The 'Farmtalking' Message Board 

Farmtalking established a 'Message Board/Forum' in 2001 to aid the exchange of information, help and advice for farming families in the UK affected by the Foot and Mouth Disease epidemic.

The Board was hosted by 'Smartgroups' at 'Freeserve' and was well supported, receiving over 9,000 messages, most of them very informative and helpful to all the Farmtalking Group members and many others, around the world. Including Farmers, Members of Parliament, Scientists, Veterinary Surgeons and Lawyers also read the board but are not members. 

The 'Farmtalking' Archives Message Board

In 2006 the Smartgroups Service was closed. So, the Farmtalking Group was moved to 'Google Groups'. However, members expressed concern that the archives of our Farmtalking Group Messages would be lost and should be retained as an historical record and reference source for the future. Therefore all the archives were kindly transferred by Nigel Cannings to another Group service at 'Jiglu' where they can be sourced.

The Message Boards are monitored and all we ask is that all members ensure their postings are always constructive, courteous and polite in content and any messages that fail in this regard are likely to be edited or deleted.
