International trade:
Customer Information Notes - GEN/07/212
Export of various commodities to EU member states during
FMD
Details
Exporters are asked to note that yesterday evening,
Customer Information Note GEN 07/210 was issued giving
details of the certificates available for trade with
other member states during the FMD outbreak.
Unfortunately, instead
of the "notes for guidance" being attached for
'certificate 5559EHC meat/preparations to EU member
states,' a copy of the certificate was incorrectly
attached.
Under no circumstances
is this certificate to be printed and used for exports
to the EU.
All certificates must
be issued by the local Animal Health Offices
and, in so doing, have the unique Centaur serial number
on them. This is important to ensure traceability.
The "notes for
guidance" are being amended to advise Official
Veterinarians that only copies of certificate 5559EHC
direct from an Animal Health Office with the unique
Centaur serial number can be signed.
